Teknoweb Converting announced the appointment of Guido Conio to chief commercial officer. Conio will be based at Teknoweb’s company headquarters in Palazzo Pignano, Italy. Conio has over 20 years experience in the disposable hygiene market and automation, leading different roles from operations and engineering to sales and marketing. He holds a MS in Naval Engineering and worked for the Italian Navy, P&G, Bolton, Coesia and most recently Rockwell Automation, managing its Middle East sales. “I am excited to join Teknoweb Converting as part of IMA group and look forward to combining my industry knowledge and sales experience to lead the sales and marketing organization as we move the business forward,” Conio says. He will be responsible for all aspects of marketing mix, sales strategy development and deployment. He will coordinate global sales activities of all IMA group products and solutions for the wet wipes industry. The company says Conio’s wide ranging experience across different products and markets will be instrumental in realizing plans to extend Teknoweb Converting’s footprint in the wet wipes industry. Commenting on the appointment, Pierangelo Mandotti, general manager and shareholder, Teknoweb Converting, says, “We are delighted to welcome Guido to the Teknoweb Converting management team and look forward to his strategic contribution to the company’s activities. His extensive experience and sales leadership credentials will help ensure we achieve our short and long term growth aspirations.
